Code of Conduct
All visitors to Barossa Regional University Campus must agree to our Code of Conduct.
Booking Confirmation
Paid bookings are considered confirmed only after the hire fee is paid in full and confirmation is issued by Barossa Regional University Campus. Full payment is required no later than 14 days prior to the event date.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be communicated in writing. For cancellations more than 30 days before the event, a full refund will be issued. Cancellations between 14 to 7 days before the event will incur a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations within 7 days of the event.
Activity Restrictions
The client agrees to conduct activities that are directly related to student education, workforce enablement, or similar educational purposes. Activities involving non-academic business operations, fire, painting, water-related activities, alcohol, or any others that could potentially endanger property or people are subject to prior approval and may require additional safety measures. The campus will continue to operate as a study hub during the hire period, and students may be present at all times.
Damage to Property
The client is responsible for any damage to Barossa Regional University Campus property or facilities during the booking period. This includes the obligation to pay for any damages, or replacements to return facilities to their original condition. If extra cleaning beyond normal wear and tear is required, a cleaning fee of a minimum of $200 will be charged and payable within 7 days.Furniture and equipment must be returned to their original place unless arranged otherwise. Room dividers must not be moved by clients or attendees; this task must be performed exclusively by Barossa Regional University Campus staff to prevent damage or injury.
Emergency Procedures
In case of an emergency, clients are required to follow all safety instructions provided by campus staff or emergency responders. If an emergency threatens property or life, call emergency services by dialling 000 (Triple Zero). During after-hours, you can leave a message for the night manager by calling the main BRUC phone number on (08) 7444 4210 using the phone at the reception desk or immediately outside the campus entrance doorway.
Liability and Insurance
Barossa Regional University Campus will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury to property or persons arising from the hire of the campus facilities, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Compliance with Laws and Campus Policies
The client agrees to comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and Barossa Regional University Campus policies, including but not limited to health and safety codes, fire regulations, and noise restrictions.
End of Event Responsibilities
The client is responsible for ensuring the event ends at the contracted time and that the venue is left in a clean and orderly state. All trash must be removed, and any campus property used during the event must be returned to its original location.
Key Fobs and Access
General operating hours are 8:45am - 4:45pm. 24 hour access is by prior approval only. If key fobs or access codes are provided for entry to the premises, these must be returned immediately following the event or at a time agreed upon with the campus administration. A replacement fee of $25 will be charged for any lost or unreturned key fobs.
Final Inspection
A final inspection of the venue will be conducted at the end of the event. Any damages or issues will be documented, and the client may be charged for the cost of repairs or additional cleaning.
