Afterhours Frequently Asked Questions

What is afterhours access?

Afterhours access is granted to approved students, which allows the student to access Barossa Regional University Campus outside of staffed hours.

As afterhours access is in high demand, we are frequently out of the access FOBs that allow access to the Beckwith Park building. If we are out of access FOBs, we can place you on a waiting list and will notify you when your fob comes in.

Can I get afterhours access?

If you're a current student over the age of 18, yes, you can get afterhours access.

Can I have a friend here afterhours?

Provided the student with afterhours access is willing to take responsibility for the actions of their guests, yes.

If the friend is under 18, the authorised student must take on duty of care.

We do ask that additional people do register here first and use the tablet to sign in, so we know how many people are here in the case of an emergency.

How do I apply?

To apply for afterhours access, please use our contact form here, and let us know you want to make a booking for your afterhours induction.

Alternatively, send us an email at info@barossacampus.com.au stating that you would like to book an afterhours induction.

What happens during the induction?

During the induction you will be given a tour of Barossa Regional University Campus. Additionally, relevant parts of Beckwith Park will also be shown, such as emergency exits. Think of this section like a new workplace site induction.

Standard procedure and expectations will be covered, this includes things such as the lockout procedure.

Lastly, you will be set up with the electronic lock that controls the Campus door via Danalock and be given an access FOB. The FOB will give you access to the front chateau door and the door leading to the rear car park.

Your smartphone with the Danalock application installed. The Danalock application can be found on the Apple Store and the Google Play Store. It is advantageous if you have also created a Danalock account prior to your induction as it will save time on the day.

100 points of ID, to be presented at the start of the induction.

Yourself.

How to setup Danalock.

If you haven't already, download the Danalock application from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store. Next, make a Danalock account and use that login to sign into the smartphone application.
