Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Some bookkeeping tasks, including coding of bank transactions and fortnightly payroll of 1.2FTE
  • Preparation of management reports to the Board
  • Reporting to the Foundation Barossa fund donors
  • Preparation of annual operating budget
  • Chair of the finance sub-committee
  • Preparing the quarterly BAS, annual report and liaising with the auditors
  • Not for profit reporting, and staying abreast of developments in accounting standards and legislative changes affecting NFPs and community foundations

Skills and Acumen:

  • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting
  • Ability to think critically and problem solving
  • Proven leadership and teamwork abilities
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Support fundraising initiatives and promote the Foundation’s work within the community
  • A deep commitment to the Barossa region and an understanding of its unique community needs and opportunities

Please contact Foundation Barossa at info@foundationbarossa.org.au. The initial Board term is for three years, with the potential of a further two terms.

If you think your skills and experience fit this volunteer role and you’d like to make a significant impact in the Barossa community, they'd love to hear from you.
